INTERMEDIATE HATHA TEACHER TRAINING

HATHA YOGA INTERMEDIATE TEACHER TRAINING CERTIFICATION COURSE​ - ​100H

Sonia Sumar and Renata Sumar Gaertner, teach this 2 week in person intensive, or 4 weeks online (3x weekdays plus weekends), to help teacher to develop more skills to work with adults with and without additional needs. We will also work on developing personal practice, study scriptures like the Living Gita, Upanishads, Hatha Yoga Pradipika (scriptures will vary according with the group we work with). We will also learn more advanced pranayama techniques and will do practices to deepen your meditation sadhana. We will have anatomy and physiology classes with focus on asanas and pranayamas and how people can benefit from these practices. If time allows, we will also converse on polyvagal theory and how yoga can help to stimulate the ventral vagal. We will also discuss asanas, fascia, tensegrity, biomechanics of asanas, types of contraction and how to use those in order to guide your students and yourself on asana sadhana.

WEEK 1 -  

Intensive in person format: 

Monday to Saturday - 07am-01pm 

Monday to Friday - 02pm to 05pm

Online format: 

Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday – 08:00-11:30am (EST)

Saturday and Sunday – 08:00-11:30am/ 01:00-04:00pm (EST) 

WEEK 2 - 

Intensive in person format: 

Monday to Saturday - 07am-01pm 

Monday to Friday - 02pm to 05pm

Online format: 

Monday/ Wednesday/ Friday – 08:00-11:30am (EST)

Saturday and Sunday – 08:00-11:30am/ 01:00-04:00pm (EST) 

Each one week program begins Monday morning at 7:00 am with one hour lunch and ends at 5:00pm.

It is important to understand the medical contraindications to certain asanas, so please do not try to copy our work without proper instruction.


Course Pre-requisite:

Yoga for All Abilities 95H Certification Program Part 1. Also be 200H Hatha Yoga Instructor with certification recognized by Yoga Alliance or a similar institution in your country. 

Who Should Attend
This course is open to Yoga therapists, instructors, and students, health care practitioners, and families of children with additional needs who have completed our Yoga for All Abilities® 95H Certification Program Part 1.
