A Continuing Education program developed by Anne Buckley Reen (OT, RYT). This dynamic 2.5-day program offers the school-based practitioner a clinically researched Yoga curriculum utilizing developmentally graded yoga sequences that align with RTI and PBIS. This popular preparatory yoga curriculum has been used throughout the United States and abroad since 2008 and addresses learning and behavior issues across ages (preschool – high school), stages, and ability levels. This program has positively impacted self-regulation, attention, communication, motor planning, sensory-motor processing, and classroom performance. Get Ready To Learn ("GTRL") is designed for implementation and adaptation across classroom challenges from minimal to severe. Challenges addressed include students with mild to severe physical limitations, autistic spectrum disorders, developmental delays, learning disabilities, and attention and emotional/ regulatory issues. Chosen as a PBS "Innovations in Education" program, this program has been highly acclaimed by participating teachers, therapists, and ad.
Who should attend: This course is open to Teachers, Special Education teachers, Yoga therapists, instructors and students, health care practitioners, and families of children with additional needs. Understanding the medical contraindications of specific asanas and breathing techniques is essential, so please do not try to copy our work without proper instruction.
